Description Industrial Hygiene Project Manager – Industrial Hygiene Division TTI Environmental, Inc. is an integrated environmental services contractor and consulting firm serving government, industrial, commercial, academic, financial, and private clients nationwide. Headquartered in Moorestown, New Jersey, TTI’s team of experienced, certified, and licensed professionals work directly with clients to provide sound solutions to environmental challenges.
TTI is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our Industrial Hygiene Division. Facility based assignments are anticipated for this role. Current Industrial Hygiene certifications are preferred, and candidates should have related project experience with Asbestos, Lead Paint, and Indoor Air Quality investigation. The ideal candidate will reside in Northern New Jersey or one of the five boroughs of New York City.
This position offers a flexible remote and in-person work environment, with work performed from home, at client sites, and at TTI’s regional office in Bloomfield, NJ.
Responsibilities
Perform complex asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and related environmental surveys and assessments Interpret analytical data and prepare detailed technical reports and project documentation Coordinate and supervise asbestos abatement monitoring and related field activities Manage multiple projects and assignments while meeting established schedules and budgets Conduct project walk-throughs, bid preparation, pre-project setup, and pre-job documentation Manage project permits and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and construction progress meetings as needed Prepare detailed estimates and technical scopes for related environmental services Interface with clients and provide technical support and guidance to project staff Lead, mentor, and provide technical directions to junior staff as needed Work independently while also collaborating effectively as a member of a project team Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related environmental field preferred Minimum of five (5) years of relevant project experience involving asbestos, lead paint, indoor air quality investigations, assessments, or related environmental services Experience with project design and asbestos abatement oversight Current EPA and/or New Jersey asbestos certifications preferred New York environmental, asbestos, mold, and lead certifications a plus, including: NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector NYSDOH Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor NYSDOL Mold Assessor NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor/Designer Strong safety and quality awareness Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong technical writing abilities General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to lead and mentor staff and effectively communicate technical information Willingness to learn, complete training, and obtain additional certifications as needed Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple assignments Requirements Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate self-motivation Ability to travel/commute to remote sites as needed Willingness to work limited weekends and second shift assignments Ability to perform field work and meet the physical demands of the position Ability to carry up to 30 lbs.
