Senior Sales Executive – Shipping & Logistics Location: Ernakulam / Kochi, Kerala Department: Business & Sales Experience: 5–8 Years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics sales. Salary : As per industry standards and candidate experience Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Executive with a strong background in shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics sales.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers, generating profitable business, negotiating freight rates, and developing long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

Identify and acquire new customers, including exporters, importers, manufacturers, and traders. Generate leads through client visits, networking, calls, referrals, and emails. Understand customer shipping requirements, cargo details, and freight needs. Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and transporters to obtain competitive rates.

Prepare freight quotations and negotiate pricing while maintaining profit margins. Follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed shipments. Monitor market freight rates, competitor activities, and industry trends.

Requirements

5–8 years of relevant experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics sales. Strong knowledge of the Indian shipping and logistics market. Experience in customer acquisition, freight rate negotiation, and business development. Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to achieve sales targets and develop profitable customer relationships.

Existing industry contacts and a proven sales track record will be an advantage.
