Senior Purchase Engineer - Project

Location Mehsana SMT Tube PU, India Main Responsibilities :- Identify and qualify suppliers for machinery, spares, and materials (furnaces, pilgers, raw tubes) from India and other countries. Prepare and issue detailed RFQs with technical specs, drawings, and commercial terms; analyze bids for techno-commercial evaluation.

Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties to optimize project costs within budget. Issue purchase orders, amend contracts, and track order status using ERP/Excel trackers. Manage vendor performance, conduct audits, and develop alternate sources for risk mitigation. Coordinate import logistics, customs clearance, and insurance for international procurements.

Maintain cost databases, conduct value engineering, and report savings/purchase status weekly. Collaborate with engineering for spec finalization and resolve delivery/quality discrepancies. Should have minimum experience of 7/8 years in tube or similar industries in the field of Project.
