Medical Assistant

The MA assists the Primary Care Providers in providing quality care as delegated.# This individual is also cross-trained to assist in clerical tasks, waived testing and phlebotomy. # ####### Qualifications: # ########### A.####### Education: # High School graduate or equivalent.# Must have certificate of completion from an accredited medical assistant program (Associate Degree/Ladder Curriculum).

In the process of completing the requirements and qualifications to receive American Medical Technologists Registry. # ########### B.####### Training and Experience: # Minimum of six months experience working as a MA; one year of experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.# Bilingual abilities desirable but not mandatory.

Current BLS Certification required thru the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire. # Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:# A. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.# B. Potential exposure to hazardous substances, cytotoxic agents, and disease.# C. May have varied work hours including weekends and holidays.

D. Must be able to perform / withstand:# Sustained standing and walking# Occasional lifting and repositioning of patients# # #
