School Nurse (full time)

1:1 School Nurse � Full-Time Somerville School | RSU 12 RSU 12 is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a student with medical needs at Somerville School. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a student's school day while working as part of a supportive and collaborative school community.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and is committed to providing safe, attentive, and individualized care. Position Responsibilities Provide individualized 1:1 nursing care and monitoring throughout the school day. Monitor and respond appropriately to seizure activity and other medical needs. Monitor environmental factors that may affect the student's health and safety.

Monitor and facilitate feeding as needed. Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for the student. Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, families, and other members of the student's care team. Communicate effectively regarding the student's health, needs, and well-being. Follow established medical care plans, school protocols, and applicable nursing standards.

Qualifications

& Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current CHRC approval from the Maine Department of Education. Experience working with children is preferred. Ability to provide compassionate, professional, and reliable care. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to changing medical needs.
