Psychiatric Assistant (PA) – Florida Psychiatry & Wellness Part-Time (with opportunity to transition to Full-Time after 3 months)

Position Overview

The PA will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care while rounding at multiple post-acute care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values independence, clinical excellence, and meaningful patient care in transitional settings. This position is initially part-time, with the option to transition to full-time after 3 months based on mutual fit and performance.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments Diagnose and treat mental health conditions Provide medication management and individualized treatment planning Round at several post-acute care facilities and collaborate with facility teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Qualifications Active and unrestricted Florida license Board Certification Active DEA license (or ability to obtain) Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills Experience in Psychiatry strongly preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation Malpractice insurance fully covered Supportive administrative team and streamlined operations Full autonomy with strong clinical support and flexible autonomous scheduling Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization Why Join Florida Psychiatry & Wellness?
