Founding Account Executive

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the first Account Executive at an early-stage AI software company, you will build the sales motion from the ground up. You will own the revenue process from outbound pipeline generation through closing, partnering directly with the founder to create a repeatable approach.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting and cold outreach, without dedicated SDR support.
• Identify and engage relevant prospects, then lead substantive sales conversations.
• Own the full sales cycle, from discovery and negotiation through contract signature.
• Work with the founder to define the ideal customer profile, sales messaging, and playbook.
• Close revenue and establish a foundation for a scalable sales process.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 1 year of sales experience, including prior Account Executive experience.
• Experience generating and managing outbound pipeline and closing deals independently from first contact through signature.
• Background in B2B SaaS sales, with accountability for revenue targets.
• Experience developing sales messaging or value propositions and identifying target customer segments.
• Comfort working in an early-stage, ambiguous environment and building processes from scratch.
• Experience selling to technical or product-focused buyers, or familiarity with AI, machine learning, or developer tools, is beneficial.
• Strong ownership, self-motivation, and accountability for sales outcomes.
• US work authorization is required.

COMPENSATION

& BENEFITS Base salary range: $80,000 to $120,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, United States. The schedule is six working days per week.
