Job description
Essential Job Functions: Provides immunization services and ACIP-recommended vaccines to children, adolescents and adults to maximize vaccine coverage levels in accordance with the DSHS Immunization Contractors Guide for Local Health Departments. Assists with ensuring that all ACIP-recommended vaccines are routinely available to patients who want them.
Recommends the simultaneous administration of all needed vaccines for the patient. Follows only medically supportable contraindications to vaccination. Verbally educates patients and parents/guardians about the benefits and risks of vaccination, and distributes DSHS educational materials as applicable as part of this conversation....
