Help Lead the Opening of an Exciting New Beachside Dining Destination A new beachside restaurant at Atlantis Paradise Island, created by acclaimed New York chef Ayesha Nurdjaja of Shuka and Shukette, is seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Restaurant General Manager (Manager on Duty) to help lead daily operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Inspired by the vibrant flavors and communal spirit of Mediterranean dining, the restaurant's philosophy is simple: rip and dip. Guests will gather around warm pita, house-made dips, mezze, and fire-grilled specialties designed for sharing. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beach and poolside guests, this destination will combine outstanding cuisine with lively hospitality and an unforgettable atmosphere.

Position Summary

As the Assistant Restaurant General Manager (Manager on Duty), you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations during service, ensuring seamless execution, exceptional guest satisfaction, and adherence to operational standards. Acting as the primary manager on the floor, you will lead the team through each service period, resolve guest concerns, and maintain the pace and energy that define the restaurant experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily floor operations and oversee service execution across all meal periods. Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively resolve concerns to ensure positive dining experiences. Manage service flow, ticket times, seating pace, and overall floor coverage during service. Oversee transitions between breakfast, lunch, and dinner service to ensure operational readiness and consistency.

Conduct pre-shift meetings and reinforce service standards, menu knowledge, and daily objectives. Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service practices, cash handling procedures, and company policies. Authorize and manage comps, voids, discounts, and guest recovery initiatives when necessary. Coach, mentor, and support team members in real time, providing constructive feedback and performance guidance.

Collaborate closely with the General Manager and department leaders to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency. Maintain a visible presence on the floor, leading by example and fostering a culture of accountability and hospitality.

Qualifications

& Experience Proven experience managing floor operations in a high-volume restaurant environment. Demonstrated success leading service and restaurant teams during busy meal periods. Strong guest recovery and conflict resolution skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure. Thorough understanding of responsible alcohol service, cash handling procedures, and workplace safety standards.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Visible, approachable, and confident leadership style with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days, you will: Confidently manage any daypart independently while maintaining operational standards.
