Daycare Aide

Daycare Aide at Rockport Elementary - 2 Positions QUALIFICATIONS: Must a high school diploma DUTY DAYS: 181 REPORTS TO: Daycare Lead Teacher and principal of building. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide child care to children ages 6 weeks to 4 years in a classroom setting. Work under supervision of Daycare Lead Teacher. Follow established activity plans.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in classroom activity planning. Guides children in working and playing harmoniously with other children. Alerts the teacher to special needs of individual children. Helps maintain individual records for each child. Assists teacher in maintaining neat learning and play environment.

Assists with the supervision of children during regular play periods and lunch supervision. Assists with arrival and dismissal of student and confers with parents as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. SALARY : $14.00/hour HOURS / DAY: 6 hours/day, Assistant #1 - 7:30AM - 2:00PM, Assistant #2 - 11:30 AM - 6:00PM, both with a 30 minute lunch
