Daycare Aide

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Daycare Worker to join our childcare team. This role focuses on providing safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for infants, toddlers, and preschool‑aged children.

and qualifications below reflect common standards across current daycare listings Indeed Key Responsibilities Maintain continuous visual and auditory supervision of children to ensure safety and well‑being Prepare and lead age‑appropriate activities that support social, emotional, and cognitive development Assist with diaper changing, toilet training, feeding, and meal preparation as needed Keep the classroom clean, organized, and hygienic, including daily cleaning tasks Encourage positive behavior, social skills, and peer interaction Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding daily activities or concerns Maintain accurate child records and follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols Required Qualifications At least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED Knowledge of basic care principles for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Ability to maintain a positive, patient, and professional demeanor throughout the workday Physical stamina to engage with young children for extended periods Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to child injuries or illnesses Must pass criminal background checks, reference checks, and any required vaccination or exemption processes
