As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll support individuals in building independence, achieving personal goals, and participating meaningfully in their communities while developing a rewarding career.

What You’ll Do As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , you will: Provide direct support with daily living, personal care, meals, grooming, and other individual needs. Help individuals build independence and work toward goals outlined in their Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP). Support community, social, recreational, and other scheduled activities.

Follow and implement individual behavioral, therapy, and support plans. Administer and document medications as assigned and in accordance with agency procedures. Monitor health, safety, behavior, and well-being and report changes or concerns appropriately. Maintain accurate daily notes, progress documentation, incident reports, medication records, and other required records.

Transport individuals safely when required and maintain applicable driver's license, insurance, and vehicle documentation. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive home environment. Complete required agency and State training, attend scheduled meetings, and maintain required certifications. Follow infection control, safety, emergency, incident reporting, and agency procedures.

Maintain accountability for medications, personal belongings, funds, vehicles, supplies, and other daily essentials. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to pass required physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening. Must pass required criminal background check investigation. Ability to exercise independent judgment in crisis situations. Ability to complete and maintain required State and agency training and certifications.

Must maintain a current driver's license and required vehicle documentation when transporting individuals. Flexibility to work overtime as required.
