Substitute Paraeducator

Beatrice Public Schools is seeking reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic substitute paras to help support our students when paraeducators are absent. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher Create a safe and supportive environment for all students Communicate with school staff as needed Adapt to different grade levels and subject areas assigned Qualifications: Must meet Highly Qualified (HQ) requirements before working with students. To meet HQ status, must have one of the following: (1) an associate's degree or higher, (2) at least 48 college credit hours or (3) successfully complete the Project Para assessments.

Beatrice Public Schools offers the Project Para assessments through the Student Programs Office, and individuals will be compensated for the time spent completing the assessment. Strong communication and listening skills Dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
