Temporary Accommodation Caretaker

Temporary Accommodation Caretaker. £27,274-£28,153 per year. Permanent 37 hours per week. Expected start date start of February 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the new Temporary Supported Accommodation, for people experiencing homelessness, provided by Swansea Council’s Housing Service.

About the service: Swansea Council’s Temporary Supported Accommodation will provide accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness. Our service will run across a 24-hour period 365 days a year.

About the job

As the Temporary Accommodation Caretaker, you will: Provide a comprehensive caretaking service as required to the Temporary Supported Accommodation scheme Undertake property management tasks at the start of, during and post occupancy to minimise delays with turnover and ensure properties are fit for re-letting Undertake minor repairs and maintenance Assist in undertaking premises / building management and Health and Safety compliance Contribute to the ongoing development of Temporary Supported Accommodation scheme(s) and homelessness services.

What are we looking for? A dynamic, self-motivated and organised individual who is committed to making a real difference. A strong communicator and problem solver, able to handle difficult and sometimes volatile situations should they arise. Proven experience of working within the social housing sector Experience of working in supported accommodation and/or support services which align with the Housing Support Grant guidelines and outcomes framework would be an advantage.
