Assistant Professor & Director, Robertson Center for Constitutional Law

Regent University School of Law invites applications for the position of Director of the Robertson Center for Constitutional Law. The Director will also hold a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. For more than 30 years, Regent Law has educated and cultivated Christian lawyers equipped to impact our country and the world.

The Robertson Center builds on that legacy, advancing first principles in constitutional law through scholarship, litigation, and public engagement. We are seeking a dynamic scholar-advocate to lead the Center into its next chapter. Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 annually Responsibilities: Scholarship & Litigation Author and publish scholarship in areas including originalism, religious liberty, parental rights, the separation of powers, and related constitutional topics Draft amicus curiae briefs in high-impact constitutional cases before federal and state courts Produce white papers and op-eds for public-facing policy discourse and media outlets Leadership & Administration Provide strategic vision and day-to-day oversight for the Center’s operations, mission, and growth Supervise Senior Counsel, research fellows, and student interns Collaborate with the Dean and law faculty to integrate the Center’s work with the School of Law’s academic mission Public Engagement & Development Serve as a public voice for the Center, including appearances on podcasts, television, radio, and other media platforms Represent the Center at conferences, symposia, and before legislative and policy audiences Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant applications, and development strategy Teaching Teach upper-level constitutional law or related courses as part of a standard law faculty load Qualifications: J.

D. from an ABA-accredited law school Demonstrated record of constitutional law scholarship and/or appellate litigation Commitment to originalism and the principles of religious liberty Experience with or aptitude for fundraising and donor relations Strong public communication skills across media formats Personal commitment to the Christian faith consistent with Regent University’s mission and community standards and statement of faith To Apply: Submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and the names of three references.
