Position Information Title: Peer Support Extern Department: Programs Location: Richmond, Virginia Title of Immediate Supervisor: Manager of Career Readiness and Employment Primary Functions of the Position: The Peer Support Intern will support the programs department by engaging with programs participants in a professional capacity to encourage positive program engagement and success.

This role will support Career Readiness and Employment program participants and graduates by contributing to cohort curriculum and providing in-person peer coaching and support. This position requires collaboration with: Manager of Career Readiness and Employment Career Readiness and Employment team Life Skills and Transition team Director of Programs Specific Functions of the Position: Contribute to cohort curriculum and classroom teaching opportunities for Career Readiness and Employment Program.

Provide in-person peer coaching and support for Career Readiness and Employment participants. Assist in the planning and implementation of social groups for adult programs clients and community members.

Qualifications

Required Primary Attributes: High school diploma or equivalent. Career Readiness and Employment Internship graduate. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
