Senior Developer / Creator in ServiceNow App Engine Studio

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Developer / Creator in Service. Now App Engine Studio to join a temporary 6-month project with a major customer in the pharmaceutical sector, based in Barcelona. The customer has implemented a Citizen Development approach within Service. Now, enabling employees to develop low-code/no-code solutions on the enterprise platform.

The objective is to strengthen this initiative by upskilling the team, promoting adoption, and supporting employees throughout the development process. You will play a key role in enabling Citizen Developers, creating innovative applications, developing prototypes and Proofs of Concept (Po. Cs), and promoting best practices across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines knowledge of the Service. Now platform with strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, along with an interest in digital transformation and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Developer / Creator in Service. Now App Engine Studio, your responsibilities will include: Develop expertise in Service. Now, its ecosystem, and the services available through the platform. Support the adoption and continuous development of the Citizen Development approach within the organization. Upskill in Citizen Development processes related to software management and application delivery.

Act as an ambassador for Citizen Development, promoting adoption and best practices across the customer organization. Support communication, onboarding, and training activities for new and existing team members. Gather feedback from users and stakeholders and propose improvements to Citizen Development processes in collaboration with the platform team.

Identify opportunities to drive innovation, digital transformation, and low-code/no-code solution development. Understand business needs, user challenges, and process requirements, translating them into effective Service. Now solutions. Design and develop application prototypes and Proofs of Concept (Po. Cs) using the Service.

Now platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and deliver innovative solutions. Act as a subject matter expert in Citizen Development during workshops and team sessions. Document and present technical solutions aligned with business requirements. Stay up to date with Service. Now product developments and emerging technologies to identify opportunities to expand platform adoption.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

Functional understanding of SQL and database concepts. Ability to learn new technologies quickly through training and independent learning. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluent English, both written and spoken. Excellent collaboration and knowledge-sharing skills. Proactive attitude and willingness to support digital transformation and Citizen Development initiatives.

Nice to Have

3+ years of experience designing and developing solutions on the Service. Now platform or similar platforms. Experience with Service. Now App Engine Studio and low-code/no-code application development. Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and frameworks or libraries such as AngularJS and Bootstrap. Experience developing Service.

Now catalog items, workflows, and related application components. Experience creating application prototypes and Proofs of Concept. Experience delivering technical training, workshops, or onboarding activities. Previous experience in enterprise IT environments or the pharmaceutical industry.
