Barista - The Market (HYA)

Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent 1+ years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel Knowledge and ability to create a variety of coffee such as latte, espresso, brewed, and other coffee mixes Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; multi-lingual capability preferred Description of Responsibilities Baha Mar’s Barista will work together with the Director of Food & Beverage and is responsible for preparing quality beverages consistently and in accordance with hotel standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare various drinks including but not limited to; teas, espresso style coffee drinks, water, and soft drinks Assist, support, and work with waiters, bartenders, and lounge/restaurant staff Ensure order of work station cleanliness in accordance to health and safety regulations Ensure standards and guest requirements are met at all times Refill beverages Retain and maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items Maintain communication between kitchen/managers and floor staff Understand the operational set up and principle of the Restaurant Maintain knowledge of all menus within the hotel Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
