Job description
We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Business Intelligence to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing complex datasets, developing interactive dashboards, and delivering actionable business insights through data visualization and reporting. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to build scalable BI solutions, ensure data quality and governance, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards. Analyze business, sales, operational, and performance data to generate actionable insights. Develop and optimize data models, DAX measures, and Business Intelligence solutions. Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and consistency across reporting platforms. Integrate Power BI dashboards with multiple enterprise applications and data sources. Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and analytics solutions. Support stakeholders with interactive dashboards, reports, and data-driven recommendations.
Conduct requirement analysis, report prototyping, and stakeholder enablement sessions. Manage report access, permissions, and governance within the BI environment. Prepare presentations and analytical reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Key Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
5–8 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Reporting. Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Dashboard Development, DAX, and Data Modeling. Proficiency in SQL, Data Warehousing, and database querying. Experience developing interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and business reports. Strong understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Statistics, and data visualization techniques.
Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and data security best practices. Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data platforms. Exposure to Salesforce Reporting and analytics. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
