Senior / Principal Planner (MRTPI)

Future. Gen Recruitment is working with a well-established independent planning consultancy with three offices nationwide, looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Planner to join their Manchester office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to take on a key role within a respected consultancy that delivers high-quality planning advice across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role You will be involved in a wide range of planning consultancy work, taking responsibility for managing projects and supporting clients through the planning process. The role offers exposure to complex and interesting schemes, with scope to take on greater responsibility as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities include

Managing and delivering planning applications and appeals Providing planning advice to clients across a range of development sectors Leading projects and coordinating inputs from internal and external consultants Liaising with local planning authorities, stakeholders and clients Supporting and mentoring junior planners where appropriate About You MRTPI Chartered 3–5+ years’ planning experience , gained in consultancy and/or local authority Strong technical planning knowledge and report-writing skills Confident communicator, able to manage client relationships Organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple projects What’s on Offer Salary in the region of £40,000–£50,000 , depending on experience Hybrid working and flexible approach to office attendance Friendly, supportive consultancy culture Opportunity to play a key role in a growing Manchester team Long-term career development within an independent practice This role would suit a planner looking to step up into a more influential position within a consultancy that values quality, teamwork and professional development.
