Associate Virtual Therapist – Foster-Impacted Youth and Families (Medicaid – Missouri) Employment Type: Full-Time (35 hours/week) Reports To: Clinical Supervisor, Here Now Health About Here Now Health Here Now Health is the first virtual behavioral health company built exclusively for children and families impacted by the child welfare system.
We serve Medicaid members eligible due to their foster status, including children in foster care, adopted youth, young adults aging out, and those involved in family preservation or juvenile justice. Our care model delivers trauma-informed, high-touch mental health services that prioritize consistency, trust, and accessibility in systems where those qualities are too often missing.

Role Summary
As an Associate Virtual Therapist with Here Now Health, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed mental health care to Medicaid-covered youth and families impacted by foster care and related systems. You will support clients navigating instability, system involvement, and complex trauma, often across multiple placements or life transitions.
This role includes structured clinical supervision toward independent licensure and is designed to support both strong client outcomes and meaningful professional growth within a relational, mission-driven care model.
Key Responsibilities
Provide virtual one-on-one therapy to youth and caregivers using evidence-informed, trauma-focused modalities Conduct clinical assessments and contribute to collaborative, measurement-based care plans Build relational continuity across transitions, supporting clients through placement or life changes Collaborate with non-clinical Care Advocates to ensure clients can access needed services and supports Offer caregiver support sessions to improve family stability and outcomes Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation aligned with Medicaid and telehealth standards Attend weekly supervision, team meetings, and required trainings Provide support during moments of escalation or crisis in alignment with trauma-informed care practices Engage in peer consultation and cross-functional collaboration with clinicians and care team members What Sets This Role Apart Low caseloads designed to prioritize depth, trust, and sustained engagement The opportunity to serve youth often excluded from traditional care models, including those without stable placements or consistent caregivers Dedicated clinical supervision and mentorship toward full licensure A team culture where lived experience in foster care, kinship care, or system involvement is valued and welcomed An integrated care model connecting therapy with caregiver support, care coordination, and advocacy What You Need Education: Master’s degree in social work Licensure: Active associate-level or provisional license ( LMSW or equivalent ) in Missouri Clinical Experience: Experience providing therapy or support to children, adolescents, or families; internship experience welcomed.
Comfortable working with youth ages 5–26 years old and their caregivers. Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally responsive care Interest in serving youth impacted by foster care, adoption, family preservation, or juvenile justice systems Comfort working in a virtual environment and using telehealth platforms Commitment to relational, equitable, and person-centered care Ability to complete background checks required by Medicaid and child welfare systems Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred; additional languages a plus Licensure Growth Here Now Health provides no-cost clinical supervision toward independent licensure, included as part of the role.

Compensation
& Schedule Full-time, salaried role based on a 35-hour work week Salary range: 47,000-58,000 base salary annually , based on licensure stage, experience, and relevant expertise Uncapped productivity bonus: Earn $40 for every billed clinical hour over 80 hours/month, with a likely opportunity to earn an additional $5,000-$14,000+ annually in addition to base salary Availability requirement: Schedule is 12:00–8:00 PM Monday–Thursday and 3:00–6:00 PM Friday, Central Time 100% remote; work hours follow the therapist’s local time zone Benefits (W-2, Full-Time) Health Insurance We cover up to $800 per month per employee and up to $350 per month for dependent care.
Plan Options: Full benefits Medical (Aetna), Dental, and Vision are available. Paid Time Off & Holidays Accrued PTO: Up to 80 hours (10 days) per year, based on a 40-hour work schedule. Company Holidays: 7 designated paid holidays per year. Floating Holidays: 5 floating holidays per calendar year.
