Virtual Licensed Therapist – Foster-Impacted Youth and Families (Medicaid – Missouri) Employment Type: Full-Time (35 hours/week) Reports To: Director of Clinical Care, Here Now Health About Here Now Health Here Now Health is the first virtual behavioral health company built exclusively for children and families impacted by the child welfare system.

We serve Medicaid members eligible due to their foster status, including children in foster care, adopted youth, young adults aging out, and those involved in family preservation or juvenile justice. Our care model delivers trauma-informed, high-touch mental health services that prioritize consistency, trust, and accessibility in systems where those qualities are too often missing.

Role Summary

As a Virtual Licensed Therapist with Here Now Health, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed mental health care to Medicaid-covered youth and families impacted by foster care and related systems. You will support clients navigating instability, system involvement, and complex trauma, often across multiple placements or life transitions.

Our care model centers relational continuity, caregiver support, and evidence-informed clinical practice. You will join a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on transforming how care is delivered to system-impacted youth.

Key Responsibilities

Provide virtual one-on-one therapy to youth and caregivers using evidence-informed, trauma-focused modalities Conduct clinical assessments and develop collaborative, measurement-based care plans Build relational continuity across transitions, supporting clients through placement or life changes Collaborate with non-clinical Care Advocates to ensure clients can access needed services and supports Offer caregiver support sessions to improve family stability and outcomes Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation aligned with Medicaid and telehealth standards Attend weekly supervision, team meetings, and required trainings Provide support during moments of escalation or crisis in alignment with trauma-informed care practices Engage in peer consultation and cross-functional collaboration with clinicians and care team members What Sets This Role Apart Low caseloads designed to prioritize depth, trust, and sustained engagement The opportunity to serve youth often excluded from traditional care models, including those without stable placements or consistent caregivers A team culture where lived experience in foster care, kinship care, or system involvement is valued and welcomed An integrated care model connecting therapy with caregiver support, care coordination, and advocacy What You Need Licensure: Active, unrestricted independent license in Missouri as an LCSW , LMFT, or LMHC/LPC .

Additional licenses beneficial. Licensure: Prefer minimum 3-5+ years of post-independent licensure experience (Required to satisfy multi-state endorsement rules and streamline cross-licensing) . Clinical Experience: Direct experience working within child welfare and foster care systems, pediatric mental health, and complex trauma.

Comfortable working with youth ages 5 - 26 years old and their caregivers. Technical & Managed Care: Experience with telehealth platforms and Medicaid clinical documentation standards. Ability to build trust and consistency with youth navigating instability Ability to complete background checks required by Medicaid and child welfare systems Approval to provide Medicaid-covered services or prior Medicaid billing experience strongly preferred Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred; additional languages a plus Licensure Growth Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within Here Now Health’s service areas is an important part of this role.

Compensation

& Schedule Full-time, salaried role based on a 35-hour work week Salary range: $ 64,000- $78,000 base salary annually , based on licensure, experience, and relevant expertise Uncapped productivity bonus: Earn $70 for every billed clinical hour over 80 hours/month, with a likely opportunity to earn an additional $12,000-$25,000+ annually in addition to base salary Availability requirement: 15 hours per week after 4:00 PM on weekdays and/or on Saturdays (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) to support youth and families during peak demand hours 100% remote; work hours follow the therapist’s local time zone Benefits (W-2, Full-Time) Health Insurance We cover up to $800 per month per employee and up to $350 per month for dependent care.

Plan Options: Full benefits Medical (Aetna), Dental, and Vision are available. Paid Time Off & Holidays Accrued PTO: Up to 80 hours (10 days) per year, based on a 40-hour work schedule. Company Holidays: 7 designated paid holidays per year. Floating Holidays: 5 floating holidays per calendar year.
