• Janitorial Services Location: Southaven, MS, 38671 Position Summary The Campus Care/Janitorial Worker supports the mission of Brown Missionary Baptist Church by ensuring that all facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for members, guests, and staff. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a positive environment that reflects excellence, stewardship, and care in every area of ministry.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of assigned areas including offices, classrooms, restrooms, sanctuary, hallways, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize all surfaces according to schedule. Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly. Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials.

Ensure all restrooms, kitchens, and fellowship areas are clean and ready for use. Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning for church services, programs, meetings, and special events. Move furniture, chairs, and equipment as needed to support ministry activities. Monitor facilities for maintenance or safety concerns and report issues immediately.

Use cleaning supplies and equipment safely and responsibly in accordance with training and guidelines. Help maintain a secure environment by ensuring doors are locked and lights are turned off when appropriate.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, organized environment.

Must exhibit a positive attitude, integrity, and a heart to serve others. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as ministry needs require.
