  • Brazil This position is dedicated to supporting a specific Mammoet project that will take place in Itaboraí, Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, we are seeking candidates located in the region. The Occupational Safety Technician will be responsible for evaluating worksite and project activities regarding safety compliance, safety inspections, safety training, and the application of SHEQ standards. The role ensures that all employees and subcontractors comply with Mammoet and client safety requirements, contributing to the continuous reduction of safety incidents and supporting a safe and productive work environment. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Conduct safety inspections, audits, and assessments across project and work sites. Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements and standards Implement, maintain, and support SHEQ policies, procedures, and industry-leading SHE-Q standards. Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety awareness programs. Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Participate in incident investigations and support root cause analysis activities. Monitor and ensure compliance of employees, contractors, and subcontractors with safety requirements. Prepare safety reports, maintain SHEQ documentation, and support personnel mobilization processes. Provide administrative and field support for SHEQ activities, including work permit and activity release processes. Promote a proactive safety culture through safety initiatives, campaigns, PPE management, and effective stakeholder engagement. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Technical Degree in Occupational Safety Intermediate English Active registration with the Ministry of Labor (MTE) Experience in refinery construction projects is desirable 3 to 4 years of experience in occupational safety roles Knowledge of Brazilian health and safety legislation Experience with heavy lifting and transport operations is desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both in the field and in administrative activities Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications WHAT YOU’LL GET Medical and Dental Benefits Life insurance Meal Benefit Food Voucher WANT TO KNOW MORE?
