The successful candidate may be offered a position in either the Public Works Crew Leader I, Public Works Crew Leader II or the Senior Public Works Crew Leader classification. The hourly range for the Public Works Crew Leader is $24.44 - $35.42 per hour The hourly range for the Public Works Crew Leader is $26.47 - $33.09 per hour The hourly range for the Senior or the Public Works Crew Leader is $29.18 - $36.48 per hour.

The City of Plano’s Public Works Department is looking for skilled and dependable Public Works Crew Leaders to join our Utility Operations team. These positions play a hands-on leadership role in maintaining and repairing the City’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems that serve our businesses and nearly 300,000 residents. Working under the direction of supervisors, these positions provide daily guidance to field staff, ensure safe work-site practices, and operate a variety of equipment to complete essential maintenance and repair work. The ideal candidate for this role will bring hands-on experience in utility construction or maintenance, a commitment to safety, and strong leadership skills to help train and guide team members in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to contribute directly to the reliable delivery of essential city services.
