Government Engagement Advisor (BSP)| Addis Ababa

supporting BSP-Ethiopia’s government engagement, institutional coordination, and government-facing implementation. Reporting to the Ethiopia Country Lead, the Advisor builds strong relationships with relevant Ethiopian authorities, provides guidance on government processes, mandates, regulatory requirements, and approvals, and coordinates consultations and follow-up actions.

The role supports translating federal agreements into regional and local engagement, ensuring coordination across BSP outcomes and guiding teams on government engagement within approved authority. The Advisor safeguards programme boundaries and ensures commitments remain within approved scope and resources, while escalating major or sensitive matters through BSP Leadership and the Mercy Corps Ethiopia Country Office.
