PM4 Instrument Hydraulic Technician

Ensure reliable operation of hydraulic and electro-hydraulic systems for uninterrupted paper machine performance. Key Outcomes

• Hydraulic system reliability across the paper machine.
• Minimized hydraulic-related downtime through effective maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems across Headbox, Press, Calendar, and Reel sections of the paper machine.
• Inspect hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators, manifolds, and filtration systems.
• Monitor hydraulic oil condition, contamination levels, pressure, flow, and temperature parameters.
• Diagnose hydraulic failures and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support electro-hydraulic systems integrated with PLC and DCS control platforms.
• Execute preventive, predictive, shutdown, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Support commissioning, testing, and optimization of hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and maintenance teams for effective issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with hydraulic safety standards, LOTO requirements, TPM, 6S, and workplace excellence initiatives.
• Drive reliability improvement projects focused on leakage reduction, oil consumption optimization, and energy efficiency. Technical Competencies
