Patient Advocate

Matrix Medical Management is looking for a full-time Patient Advocate to join our team! SUMMARY: The Patient Advocate is responsible for resolving issues, directing patient inquiries or complaints, facilitating satisfactory resolutions, scheduling appointments, and follows up to ensure issues have been resolved for specific accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Collects new patient referrals and updates corresponding referral log Confirm pre-authorization for treatment from appropriate parties Reports statistics as required, manage filing and record keeping activities Updates daily log and calendar for all patient office visits Schedules and/or reschedules patient’s consultation with the appropriate provider Determines appropriate referral, office clinic location(s) for patient’s being referred out, communicate with appropriate staff to ensure patient is schedule timely Notifies providers and third parties concerning no show and/or noncompliant patient’s Verifies case status concerning patient’s treatment and follow-up with appropriate law firm, as necessary Responds to emails and inquiries concerning patient issues and/or discrepancies Responds and comply to requests for information via faxes, e-mails, and text messages Performs other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate professionally with patients, clients, and guests Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED One (1) year customer service experience BENEFITS: 3 Medical Plans 2 Dental Plans 2 Vision Plans Employee Assistance Program Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance Accidental Death & Dismemberment Plan 401(k) with a 2-year vesting PTO + Holidays Please visit our website for more information: Matrix Medical Management At Matrix Medical Management, we specialize in delivering customized business solutions designed to enhance the efficiency, compliance, and financial success of medical practices across Texas.

Compensation
