Accounting Services Manager
Job description
Description You've mastered the numbers. Now it's time to lead the people behind them. Earnings Edge is looking for an Accounting Services Manager who brings together strong accounting knowledge, practical leadership, and a passion for helping others succeed. This isn't just a position overseeing numbers and reports. You'll lead a team of accounting professionals, work directly with credit union clients, and help solve real financial challenges.
From supporting credit union conversions to improving accounting processes, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference for both your team and the clients we serve. We're looking for someone who knows their way around credit union accounting, enjoys developing people, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed.
What You'll Do
Lead, coach, and develop the Earnings Edge Accounting Services team while overseeing daily operations. Manage accounting support for credit union conversions, mergers, and ongoing client services. Work directly with credit union clients on budgeting, NCUA 5300 Call Reports, financial reporting, investments, reconciliations, and back-office accounting needs.
Help clients navigate accounting challenges and recommend practical solutions. Set team goals, manage workloads, and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time. Improve department processes, procedures, and training to help the team work more effectively. Partner with internal teams to improve accounting services, software features, and the client experience.
Support client training, presentations, and business development opportunities. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or at least 2 years of equivalent business-related experience. 1–2 years of experience managing, coaching, or developing employees. Strong knowledge of general accounting practices, financial reporting, and computerized accounting systems.
Experience preparing and working with NCUA 5300 Call Reports is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently with clients and internal teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.
A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support your team when needed. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 3–4 times per year, with additional travel as business needs require. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Why Earnings Edge? At Earnings Edge, accounting is about more than balancing numbers.
We help credit unions operate more effectively, solve problems, and make informed financial decisions. You'll have the opportunity to lead a team, build relationships with credit unions across the country, and contribute to services that make a meaningful difference. If you're an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading people as much as solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and take the next step in your career with Earnings Edge.
