As the SAP Yard Logistics and EWM Functional Lead, you will serve as the functional authority for SAP S/4HANA Yard Logistics and Extended Warehouse Management, designing integrated solutions and working alongside transportation, supply chain, finance, and asset management teams in an Agile environment. This position offers the opportunity to shape how yard, warehouse, and transportation processes come together for one of the Department of Defense's most important logistics modernization programs.

Our Core Values: Integrity | Excellence | Patriotism Position Summary C5T is seeking an SAP Yard Logistics and EWM Functional Lead to serve as the functional authority for SAP Yard Logistics (YL) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) within S/4HANA on the JTMS program. The successful candidate will design and configure integrated yard and warehouse solutions, lead integration with SAP Transportation Management (TM), and collaborate with SD, MM, FI/CO/FM, and asset management teams to deliver seamless end-to-end supply chain execution.

The role includes fit-gap analysis, functional design, Agile delivery, functional and integration testing, cutover and deployment support, continuous process improvement, and root cause analysis of complex integration issues.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the functional authority for SAP Yard Logistics and Extended Warehouse Management within S/4HANA environments. Design and configure comprehensive solutions supporting: Yard structure, checkpoints, and gate processing. Vehicle check-in and check-out, dock door assignment, and yard task management. Warehouse inbound, outbound, and internal movement processes.

Inventory management, staging, picking, packing, and shipping operations. Ensure seamless alignment between yard operations and warehouse execution activities. Lead integration efforts between EWM, Yard Logistics, and Transportation Management to enable: Seamless handoffs between warehouse, yard, and transportation processes.

Real-time visibility of shipments, assets, and inventory across the supply chain. Ensure synchronization of physical operations with system transactions and real-time status updates. Collaborate with functional teams to deliver end-to-end supply chain execution, including: Transportation Management for shipment planning and execution.

Materials Management and Sales and Distribution for inventory, procurement, and order alignment. Finance (FI/CO/FM) for inventory valuation and financial integration. Asset and EAM teams for equipment and infrastructure coordination. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within a high-performing Agile team.

Translate complex operational needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional designs. Partner with Product Owners to prioritize logistics and warehouse capabilities aligned with mission requirements, delivering iterative enhancements that meet program goals. Conduct fit-gap analysis between current logistics operations and SAP S/4HANA EWM and Yard Logistics capabilities.

Develop detailed functional specifications and configuration designs supporting scalable, efficient operations. Recommend solutions that balance standard SAP functionality with operational realities in complex, multi-site environments, and influence solution design across transportation, supply chain, and asset management domains.

Lead and support functional and integration testing (SIT and UAT), validating end-to-end scenarios including receiving, staging, yard movements, and shipment execution. Support cutover planning, deployment activities, and post-go-live stabilization to ensure successful adoption and operational readiness. Analyze warehouse and yard operations to identify efficiency gains, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities, and implement process improvements that enhance throughput, accuracy, and usability.

Drive continuous improvement based on user feedback, operational metrics, and industry best practices. Ensure accuracy of inventory data, yard status, and logistics transactions across integrated systems. Support development and validation of operational reporting and executive dashboards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and process issues, providing thorough root cause analysis.

Required Qualifications Active DoD Secret security clearance. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, information systems, engineering, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Seven to ten or more years of SAP functional experience with deep expertise in EWM and Yard Logistics.

Deep, hands-on experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management in S/4HANA environments. Expert-level knowledge of SAP Yard Logistics functionality and configuration. Strong understanding of SAP Transportation Management integration points. Solid knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM).

Experience with warehouse processes, including inbound and outbound, inventory management, staging, picking, packing, and shipping. Understanding of yard operations, including gate processing, vehicle management, dock door assignment, and yard tasks. Proven track record designing and optimizing end-to-end logistics execution, with a deep understanding of how physical logistics operations map to SAP processes.

Experience with complex, multi-site warehouse and yard operations. Knowledge of inventory valuation, asset management, and financial integration points. Demonstrated experience working within Agile development teams, translating business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, and delivering iterative enhancements in fast-paced environments.

Experience leading testing efforts (SIT and UAT) and supporting deployment activities. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including strong requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and root cause analysis. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.

Desired Qualifications SAP certification in EWM, Yard Logistics, or Transportation Management. Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades. Knowledge of DoD or government logistics operations and requirements. Experience with data migration and master data management. Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies, such as RFID and barcode scanning.

Experience with SAP Fiori apps for logistics execution. Understanding of integration technologies, including APIs, IDocs, and middleware. Experience with reporting tools, such as SAP Analytics Cloud and Business Warehouse. Background in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
