Your Opportunity: The Acute Services Units within the Adult Inpatient Program at The Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and stabilization services to individuals 18-64 years of age who have a severe and persistent mental illness and/or are experiencing an acute mental health crisis and/or addiction illness.

You will report to the Unit Manager or designate Manager. The Registered Psychiatric Nurse / Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care following the full scope of practice as set out by the College of Alberta Registered Nurses and/or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses Alberta and the Health Professions Act.

The Registered Psychiatric Nurse / Registered Nurse will have a strong foundation in mental health and addictions. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, with due consideration provided for family and appropriate others.

You will ensure the effective operation of the unit when assuming designated responsibilities and contribute to the learning experience of students, staff, and patients.
