Job description

Controller Firm Overview: Stable Rock is an integrated professional services platform supporting over 500 clients including investment and asset managers, early-stage and midsize businesses, portfolio companies, and founders. We provide deep expertise across outsourced and fractional CFO services, accounting and bookkeeping, middle office and operations, regulatory and compliance, tax strategy and planning, IT, HR, insurance services, and AI-driven automation.

Our work is hands-on and customized. Clients work directly with a team of experienced professionals who take the time to understand how their business or personal finances operate and provide practical support that adapts as needs change. This is an opportunity for a driven accounting professional to take a leadership role in a growing organization, with significant autonomy to improve existing processes, implement new procedures, and establish best practices across the accounting function.

The Controller will oversee a team of three, providing leadership, mentorship, and direction while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing complex, preferably multi-entity accounting environments, along with exposure to audits and the ability to develop scalable processes and controls.

As Stable Rock continues to grow, this individual will have the opportunity to expand the accounting team and take on additional responsibilities, playing a meaningful role in shaping the company's financial infrastructure.
