Competitive Pay: Base Mileage Pay: $0.65 per mile (all miles paid, loaded and empty) Weekly Earnings: $1,800–$2,200+ based on 2,400–2,800 miles per week, plus bonuses Tarp Pay: $75 per load requiring tarping Performance & Safety Bonuses: Quarterly bonuses rewarding safe driving and on-time deliveries Weekly Direct Deposit: Reliable and convenient payment method Schedule & Home Time: Regional routes with most drivers out 2–3 days per week Majority of routes allow frequent home time and weekends off Typical schedule includes 5+ roundtrips per week and 2 loads per day Equipment & Support: Assigned late-model, well-maintained flatbed truck-no slip seating Supportive dispatch team and 24/7 operations support Consistent freight volume with reliable customers Job Requirements: Valid CDL-A license with at least 1 year of recent flatbed or regional driving experience Clean driving record (no major violations or DUIs in the past 5 years) Ability to pass DOT drug screen and background check Physically capable of securing and tarping loads as required Professional, dependable, and customer-service oriented Job Details: Base Location: Birmingham, AL (local candidates preferred) Freight: Steel, construction materials, and general flatbed freight (no oversized or hazardous loads required) Routes: Primarily regional short and medium hauls with occasional 2–3 day runs as needed Roundtrip Requirement: Minimum 5–6 roundtrips per week to maximize earnings and meet company standards Why Drive for Apex?
