Position Summary
This position is responsible for leading and managing government and local business relations for The Cohen Group in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and other countries in the Middle East in support of Cohen Group’s clients’ requirements. The person in this role will liaise with The Cohen Group’s leadership and identify opportunities that advance Cohen Group clients’ strategic objectives in the region.
The position will also work closely with The Cohen Group’s strategic partner, a global law firm, and will be based in the law firm’s regional headquarters office in Riyadh.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting The Cohen Group’s client teams and firm leadership to implement regional business strategies in the Middle East. Maintaining awareness of The Cohen Group objectives in Saudi Arabia, coordinating with The Cohen Group’s headquarters in Washington DC, and engaging with The Cohen Group’s client teams and leadership to address client requirements.
Collecting, analyzing, disseminating, and implementing insights and competitive analysis with The Cohen Group’s client teams and firm leadership as requested. Developing, cultivating, and managing The Cohen Group’s relationships across the government in Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region as required, and with U.
S. government entities with a presence in these countries on behalf of The Cohen Group and its clients. Collecting, analyzing, disseminating, and implementing insights and analysis in collaboration with The Cohen Group’s client teams and firm leadership as requested. Driving engagement with and participation in industry and government committees and councils.
Representing The Cohen Group in high-level forums, strategic dialogues, and policy engagements in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East, as needed. Leading The Cohen Group’s brand awareness in the Middle East and supporting business development in the region. Providing insights to The Cohen Group based on regional knowledge and engagement and acting as trusted advisor and facilitator to achieve client and firm objectives.
Subject Matter Qualifications: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in global government relations, marketing, or business development in the Middle East, preferably in a professional services or international business environment. Experience working on Middle East policy, business, or U.S. government regulatory issues, including demonstrated knowledge of U.
S. policies regarding trade with Saudi Arabia and surrounding countries. Demonstrated knowledge of geopolitical environment in the Middle East region and demonstrates cultural understanding of each country within the region and between countries in the region. Direct knowledge of key stakeholders in Saudi Arabia, including excellent working relationships with senior military and government leaders, U.
S. embassy country teams, and regional industry executives in other companies. Experience living in the region. (Desired) Intermediate-level or above reading and speaking ability in Arabic. Alignment with The Cohen Group’s Client Service Model: Collaborative team player who works across government relations, business, and other corporate functions.
Excellent interpersonal skills: self-starter with the ability to manage a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Strong writer and strategic thinker who can translate complex issues to both company leadership and outside government stakeholders. Must have an interest in problem-solving across a variety of sectors and issues.

Additional Details: This position is full-time and mostly in-office. Location : Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with frequent travel to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, and other countries as required, along with travel to Washington, DC.
