Substance Abuse Treatment Assessment Counselor

Position Summary

The Substance Abuse Assessment Counselor position is full-time (40 hours/ week) and in-person. Position is located at our Willamette Family Downtown Treatment facility in Eugene, OR! The Assessment/Entry and Engagement Counselor is responsible for collecting and compiling sufficient information to assess and determine the appropriate need for services, document the results of findings, initiate referrals, and engage individuals in services.

Assurance of legal and ethical standards. Overall assurance that service delivery is consistent with the agency’s mission. This position will be cross-trained with other department positions. Duties may include performing functions of other positions on any given workday such as intake and customer service. Shift & Days: Monday through Friday, 12:00pm to 8:30pm Compensation: Starting wage: $26.

Requirements

CADC I Certification or Above, CADC- R Candidates close to certifying may be considered. High school / GED Completion Willamette Family Employment Requirements: Criminal Background check conducted by the Department of Human Services Background Check Unit Pre-Employment Drug Screening (Including THC) Effective 03/28/2025- Willamette Family has a required 12 month waiting period before former clients can apply for employment.
