Maintenance Handyman – Luxury Wine Estate – Franschhoek Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Handyman for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hardworking individual with general maintenance experience to join a well-established hospitality property and assist in ensuring the estate is maintained to the highest standards.

Location: Franschhoek Property: Luxury Wine Estate Salary: R8,500 – R9,250 Negotiable DOE Position Type: Live-out Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools and equipment Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out necessary repairs Conduct general handyman duties including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and building repairs Ensure building maintenance requests are attended to efficiently and professionally Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs completed Manage and monitor inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance materials Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required Requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and/or heat pump repairs and maintenance Previous hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous Good understanding of safe working procedures relating to electrical tools and equipment Basic hand tool and electrical knowledge essential Preference will be given to candidates residing in Franschhoek or neighbouring areas Matric Certificate required Technical qualification in Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field beneficial Valid driver’s licence advantageous The ideal candidate will be dependable, proactive, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards across the property.
