Claims Specialist | Motor | Melbourne's East | $85,000 + super About the Organisation Our client is an established Victorian insurance brokerage with a strong focus on client service and technical knowledge. Its in-house claims team of about 10 manages claims for the brokerage's clients.

About the Role

We're recruiting a Claims Specialist to manage a portfolio of motor claims. This is a brokerage claims role, not an insurer claims role. There is no settlement authority. You advocate for the client with insurers to reach the right outcome.

Responsibilities include

Managing a portfolio of motor claims from lodgement to finalisation Advocating for clients with insurers, assessors and repairers Interpreting policy wordings and explaining claim decisions to clients Keeping clients and account managers informed at each stage Handling disputes and complaints, and escalating where needed Meeting the team's service standards and KPIs About You You'll have experience managing motor claims, from a brokerage, insurer, assessor or TPA.

Candidates from an underwriting background will also be considered. Ideally you'll bring: End to end motor claims experience Confidence interpreting policy wordings Clear written and verbal communication A car and driver's licence (the office is in a business park) What's on Offer $85,000 + super Car parking provided Full time in the office during the 6 month probation, then 3 days in the office and 2 from home A claims team of about 10 Next Steps Hooker & Heijden undertake a thorough recruitment process on behalf of our clients and candidates.
