Job description
Job Purpose Assist the Warehouse Managers in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment. Responsible for the day-to-day management of people within the warehouse function, ensuring company targets and customer requirements are met, and that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the dispatch of goods Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that delivery of materials meets customer timescales and requirements Supervise preparation of goods with appropriate packaging, palletization, segregation and documentation Monitor and report on inventory movements, damaged goods and returns Supervise and control order picking, goods in and goods out operations to ensure accuracy Ensure internal delivery processes are adhered to in support of the dispatch schedule Coach the team daily to ensure business objectives are met consistently Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements Qualifications & Requirements Grade 12 qualification Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management (advantageous) Minimum 5 years experience in fast-paced warehouse operations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Valid driver's licence (required) Valid Police Code of Conduct Certificate (required) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet Ability to lead and motivate a team Strong attention to detail and time management skills Applications must be submitted through the online portal only.
