Junior Buyer

Junior Buyer 70-85K NYC About the Role The Junior Merchant will support the growth and day-to-day management of the Water Sports category, and our marketplace channels. Working closely with the Buyer and cross-functional teams, this role will support assortment planning, product analysis, forecasting, vendors, promotions, and marketplace initiatives while building experience in merchandising and buying.

Key Responsibilities

Support category management, assortment planning, and product maintenance. Analyze sales, inventory, margin, and product performance. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, Open to Buy, and purchasing decisions. Coordinate with vendors on pricing, products, and availability. Support new product launches, promotions, and product lifecycle management.

Monitor product performance across Amazon and other marketplace channels. Partner with Marketing, E-commerce, Operations, and Retail teams. Prepare reports and monitor industry trends, competitors, and growth opportunities. Take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and mathematical abilities. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Comfortable working with data, reporting, and multiple priorities. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Curious, motivated, and eager to learn and grow. Interest in developing into a Merchant/Buyer role.

Merchandising, buying, e-commerce, retail, forecasting, or marketplace experience is a plus.
