Radiology Technician

Radiologic Technologist – PRN/Casual Jasper Memorial Hospital | Monticello, Georgia Jasper Memorial Hospital is seeking a dependable and patient-focused PRN Radiologic Technologist to join our Radiology team. This position is ideal for a technologist who enjoys working in a community hospital setting and providing personalized, high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Operate radiographic and related imaging equipment safely and effectively. Verify patient identification, physician orders, and appropriate examinations prior to performing procedures.

Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles. Evaluate images for proper positioning, technical quality, and diagnostic acceptability. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures performed. Assist physicians and clinical staff with imaging procedures as needed. Provide compassionate care and clear instructions to patients throughout examinations.

Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain equipment and promptly report equipment concerns or malfunctions. Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Maintain required competencies, certifications, and continuing education.

Assist with other Radiology Department responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT certification or registry eligibility, as applicable. Must meet applicable requirements for practice in Georgia. BLS certification preferred or obtained within the required timeframe. Previous hospital or diagnostic imaging experience preferred. Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital environment.
