About the Role
The Shipping Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments within our logistics and distribution operations. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling products for shipment while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
The Shipping Associate collaborates closely with warehouse and inventory teams to verify order accuracy and manage shipping documentation. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to prevent errors and delays, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role supports the seamless flow of goods from our facilities to customers across the United States, directly impacting the company’s operational success.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds regularly. Basic computer skills for data entry and shipment tracking. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics role. Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems. Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment. Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations in shipping and logistics. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and package products securely for shipment according to company guidelines and customer specifications. Label shipments accurately, ensuring all necessary documentation and shipping information is complete and compliant with regulations. Coordinate with warehouse staff to verify order contents and resolve any discrepancies before dispatch.
Operate shipping equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers and delivery confirmations. Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring timely and organized movement of goods. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support daily shipping goals and resolve issues promptly. Skills: The Shipping Associate utilizes attention to detail daily to ensure that all shipments are accurately prepared and labeled, preventing costly errors. Organizational skills are essential for managing multiple orders simultaneously and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.
