Master Mechanic

Summary The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform basic general and preventive maintenance to on-site company equipment, machines and building . Must be able to make repairs as needed. Frequent co mmunication with management is required and expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The qualified applicant willbe able todemonstratea wide range of repair and maintenance skills including, general maintenance and cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and renovations. Mustpossess problem-solving and technical skills to solveplant maintenance problems. Provide management staff with regular updates on completion status on open jobs.

Collaborate closely with the Construction & Property Management managers on repairs and maintenance items. Must be able to read wiring diagrams. Demonstratecapability tooperateand conduct preventative maintenanceof buildinga machines . Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures Actively encourage positive employee relations in a multi-language population for understanding and cooperation between management and fellow employees.

All other related duties as assigned. Perform routine inspections of equipment and facility systems toidentifypotential failures and proactively address issues before downtime occurs. Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Education

and/or Experience High School Diplomaor equivalent. Related technical training. Two years experience in a Maintenance capacity in an industrial setting. Excellent communications skills as the position deals with external vendors and government agencies. Knowledge/Skills PC skillspreferred(MS Office)-Basic Excellent problem solving skills arerequired- Advanced High degree of attention to detail- Advanced Excellent Communications skills as frequent communication isrequired- Advanced Supervisory Responsibilities N/A.

Physical Demands Must have the ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices. Must be able to climb and crawl in confined spaces. Ability to deal with variant temperaturesboth hot and cold. Work Environment Work environment is predominantly wet and exposed to a variety of odors as well as presenting with hot and cold temperatures.

Ice box storage and chilled warehouse conditions may be present with moderate to extreme levels of noise. Safety protection is provided.
