Job description
Position Title: Sr Paralegal Job Family: Legal, Compliance & EEHS Sub Family: Legal Job Level: P2 (Level 4. Reports to: Ambrosia Hauser, Assistant General Counsel Location: Corporate HQ – Indianapolis, IN FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support the company’s litigation matters and coordinate the internal work needed to assist outside counsel. Litigation support is the primary focus of this role. The paralegal will help keep matters, records, and internal participants organized and moving forward. The role will also provide secondary support for routine contract administration, with the amount of contract work depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate internal fact gathering and information requests with business, Risk, and other teams; maintain matter timelines, witness and document lists, discovery trackers, and status records. Coordinate document preservation, collection, organization, and production with outside counsel and appropriate internal or external resources; maintain related logs and records.
Assist with factual investigations and targeted document review; identify missing information, inconsistencies, or issues for in-house counsel and outside counsel to assess. Coordinate routine communications, deadlines, and materials with outside counsel and insurers, escalating legal, strategic, or sensitive issues to in-house counsel.
Support witness interviews and deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial preparation under counsel’s direction, including scheduling, exhibits, records, and logistics. Minimum Requirements: 2–4 years of experience as a paralegal or legal support professional, preferably in corporate, contract, or commercial law Advanced knowledge of legal terminology, research methodologies, and contract management practices Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy and risk Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments High level of confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for cross-border legal coordination Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (2 - 4 Years) Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
