Job description
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment at the HV substation site by implementing project HSE plans, enforcing safety rules, and promoting a proactive safety culture. Description: 1- Implement the Project HSE Plan and client safety requirements. 2- Based on the project design document, execution scheme and project safety criteria, prepare the project safety control scheme and inspect the safety construction accordingly.
3- Participate in fieldwork for site daily inspection and evaluation of the safety situation. 4- Investigate and report the safety problems in a timely manner as per the regulations. 5- Investigate and handle the safety accident, and provide the investigation report timely. 6- Record the site safety situation strictly, and submit the safety inspection report timely.
7- Regularly organize the safety overhaul and safety training. 8- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment. 9- Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts. 10- Coordinate with Site Manager to control high-risk activities. 11- Conduct HSE induction and training for all site personnel. 12- Maintain HSE records, reports, and statistics.
13- Liaise with client HSE representatives and authorities when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and Safety Certificate Special training, technology use and language skills: 1- Fluent communication skills in English 2- A safety certificate prevailing in Saudi Arabia. COMPETENCIES: 1 Strong knowledge of construction HSE practices, especially HV environments. 2 Experience in live substation / high-risk works (preferred).
3 Ability to enforce safety rules firmly but professionally. 4 Knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and utility safety standards. 5 Incident investigation and reporting capability. 6 Good teamwork sense and active in work. 7 High responsibility, sense, and professional attitude. 8 Excellent at organization and coordination.
