About the role
Prince George's County Department of Corrections is looking for a reliable and qualified LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for individuals in our custody.
What you'll do
Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Collect vital signs, lab specimens, and patient health data Support sick call and assist providers with procedures Administer medications and maintain accurate MAR documentation Monitor patient conditions and report changes Conduct rounds and document patient progress Follow infection control and safety protocols Maintain medication security, including narcotics accountability Assist with patient transfers and required reporting Qualifications Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Maryland Strong understanding of nursing care principles Ability to recognize signs of mental illness, emotional disturbances, or substance dependency Proficient in phlebotomy and administering PPD tests Benefits: Dental insurance with a generous orthodontic credit Vision insurance Company-paid life insurance and extensive ancillary coverage options Paid time off Flexible schedule Employee assistance program (EAP) Continuing education credits Tuition reimbursement Referral program Type: Full-Time, 8-hour shifts (7:30am - 4:00pm) About CBH Medical CBH Medical is a visibly different correctional healthcare experience, delivering flexibility, transparency, improved patient health, reporting, and oversight by a leadership team with decades of correctional experience.
