Assists the Bridge Inspection Team Supervisor or performs as DBIS when out of the office. Supports the planning, programming, and coordinating the unit's bridge safety inspection program for all interstate, primary, secondary, and municipal route bridges throughout all counties in District and statewide as needed.  Performs periodic inspection and evaluations of bridge substructure and superstructure elements including timber rot, concrete spalls and cracks, section loss due to rust, scour, settlement, and collision damage from waterway or highway traffic.
