Machine Operator

We are committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. We are hiring experienced Machine Operators (Packers) on 2 nd & 3 rd shifts for our Kirksville, MO location.

Shift assignments may vary based on operational needs and availability.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Machine Operator (Packer) loads paper onto automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines and packs finished products in a fast-paced envelope manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for conducting quality inspections, labeling cartons, reporting variances, and reviewing production schedules to support daily production goals.

Candidates must possess the ability to read a ruler, perform basic mathematical calculations, follow written and verbal instructions, and work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

(Essential Functions) These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Load paper into automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines. Pack finished products according to quality and production standards. Inspect product quality and report variances to appropriate personnel.

Label cartons and complete required production documentation. Review production orders and schedules to meet daily production requirements. Perform rework as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Other duties and assignments as required. Pay & Work Schedule $20.94/hr + applicable shift premium 2 nd shift: 3:00 PM -- 11:00 PM / $1.25/hr shift premium 3rd shift: 11:00 PM -- 7:00 AM / $1.50/hr shift premium Monday

A minimum of 6 months Machine Packer experience preferred. Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and quality specifications. Ability to read a ruler and perform basic math calculations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Reliable attendance and adherence to safety standards. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift while maintaining pace with high-speed production demands. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 55 pounds. Ability to frequently reach, bend, twist Manual dexterity required; perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Ability to remain alert and attentive while working around moving machinery and equipment. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, inks, solvents, adhesives, and varying temperatures. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
