Machine Operator (Packer)

Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Immediately hiring for 1st shift Machine Operators (Packers) for our envelope manufacturing facility in Chicopee, MA Pay/Schedule: Pay starts at $16/hr Shift: 7am - 3pm Schedule: Mon -- Fri; Sat required during busy season/business needs.

Primary Responsibilities & Daily Duties: Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; pack finished product. Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel. Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements. May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.

Other duties as assigned/required. Job Requirements/Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent. 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment. Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler. Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills Physical Requirements & Work Environment:- Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.

Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine. Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects. Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.) Must be able to work in hot or cold weather. Cenveo is an EEO Employer N/A
