Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CDL trucks, roll-offs, and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on all company vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and service air brake systems and diesel air conditioning units.
• Perform safety checks and compliance inspections in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each project.
• Respond to on-site equipment failures and provide timely repairs as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following safety protocols and maintaining tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Mechanic, specifically working with CDL trucks, roll-offs, and heavy equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of air brake systems, diesel engines, and air conditioning for heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with experience in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work a rotating Saturday shift and occasional overtime as needed.
• CDL license is a plus. Pre-Employment and Ongoing Requirements: Pre-employment drug testing is required. Random drug testing will be conducted as part of our commitment to a safe and compliant workplace. Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Rotating Saturdays, 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in varying conditions, including outdoor environments and around heavy equipment.
