For the second year in a row, Connecticut Orthopaedics has been named the #1 Orthopaedic Physician Practice in Connecticut by Castle Connolly! CT Orthopaedics is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant. This position provides direct support to the physician and clinical teams in a given location.
Responsibilities include
but are not limited to casting, dressing application and removal, DME, rooming patients, patient intake, exam room stocking and cleaning and scheduling. Essential Responsibilities: Cast application and removal. Applying and removing wound dressings based on provider preferences. Participating in staple and suture removal Fitting patients with durable medical equipment and braces appropriately and completing billing paperwork accurately Rooming patients and completing appropriate intake documentation Drawing up and setting up injections/ultrasound per provider's protocol Maintaining a clean and stocked exam room.
Entering orders for x-ray Assisting with appointment scheduling for follow up appointments. Assisting with clinical workflow throughout the clinics Education & Experience Requirements: Certified as a Medical Assistant High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) required 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred Experience in an Orthopaedic practice preferred Location & Schedule Hamden, CT Monday – Friday varies 7:00am-5:00pm Salary: Starting hourly rate range: $23-$28, based on experience What we offer: Competitive salary, 401(k) contributions, and company-paid life insurance.

Due to our quality of care and attentiveness to our patients, we are proudly the team of orthopaedic physicians for multiple colleges and high schools as well as have our own physical therapy centers. In addition to our orthopaedic service line, we have three MRI suites, (5) acute care orthopaedic walk-in centers and a surgery center in Branford.
The posted pay range and actual compensation offered are based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, market data, internal equity, and organizational needs. The posted range does not reflect the full value of CT Orthopaedics total rewards package, which may include Health & Wellness benefits, 401k contribution including profit-sharing regardless of employee’s contribution, and other available compensation for eligible employees.
